Charlene brings more than 15 years of international marketing and communications experience across corporate, industry, and entrepreneurial environments. She has worked with organisations including DCSA, Oracle, ABN AMRO, and ING, helping businesses define their position, engage stakeholders, and translate complex challenges into clear and effective strategies that drive visibility, credibility, and growth.
At DCSA (Digital Container Shipping Association), Charlene led lead generation, thought leadership, and industry events, helping to strengthen the organisation’s profile and influence within the global shipping community. She played a key role in developing DCSA’s flagship State of the Industry 2024 report, working with an international research team to capture insights from 400 senior decision-makers and 35 industry interviews, creating one of the sector’s most comprehensive views on digital transformation in container shipping.
She also led the development of executive thought leadership content, including a video series featuring leaders from across the maritime ecosystem discussing the future of digitalisation and global trade. Through strategic partnerships, including with the Journal of Commerce, and by expanding DCSA’s presence at major industry gatherings such as TPM in Long Beach and Singapore Maritime Week, she helped position DCSA at the centre of the industry's digital transformation agenda.
Today, Charlene combines strategic thinking with practical execution, helping maritime and logistics organisations sharpen their positioning, amplify their expertise, and turn industry knowledge into meaningful commercial and reputational impact.

Marie has over 15 years of international marketing experience across corporate, industry, and entrepreneurial environments. She has a proven track record of building and scaling marketing departments from scratch, with deep expertise in CRM, marketing automation, lead generation, and data-driven strategy. Her strength lies in helping businesses clarify their positioning, engage stakeholders, and turn complex industry challenges into clear, effective marketing strategies.
During her two years at DCSA (Digital Container Shipping Association), she took charge of updating their digital marketing setup. She mapped out stakeholder journeys, created target personas, and led the development of a brand-new website. She also ran high-impact industry campaigns and set up their Salesforce CRM from scratch to improve lead follow-up.
That logistics experience goes beyond theory — as the founder of ALMA, a premium Mexican spirits brand, she has personally dealt with the realities of container shipping across China, Mexico, and Europe. Marie is fluent in Spanish and has lived and worked internationally.
